Gamesa Pitch System Improvement Campaign

Scottish Power Renewables awarded Ecocel Services Ltd two aspects of their Gamesa Pitch System Improvement campaign; Parts supply/management and Installation.

The project aims to maximise production of SPR assets by improving and upgrading the pitch system within SPRs onshore portfolio of over 200 Gamesa G8X/9X Wind turbine Generators (WTG’s).

To achieve this, the project focuses on using upgraded components and accessories with higher performance capabilities whilst also unifying the components within their Gamesa portfolio.

Working with Scottish power and our partners, Hine Renewables, upgrades and modifications were designed and approved prior to project implementation, the approved Bill of materials was agreed, and a schedule of works was produced for project delivery. 

Work began in October 2024, with a completion of all 204 WTGs projected for 2026-year end.
